Youth Exchanges' and 'Youth Encounters' If aged between 15 and 25 and wish to meet with young people from other countries,see different places, learn about different cultures,introduce your country and culture? This program is just for you. Groups of young people Youth workers and leaders Non-profit making organizations, associations or structures

Local authorities

Youth Exchanges;

• have partners at least from two countries (on should be an EU Member country),
• last between 6-21 days
• have participants between 16-60
• focuses on different subjects (art, music, environment, information technologies, cultural heritage, women, children...)

Youth Encounters;

• have partners from at least 8 programme countries (two of them should be EU Member countries)
• last between 6-12 days
• have participants between 60-200
• have titles related with the prior goals and subjects named by Youth Programme

What an exchange is not!!

• statutory meetings of organisations
• holiday travel
• language courses
• school class exchanges
• academic study trips
• performance tours
• competitions
• exchange activities which can be classed as tourism
• exchange activities which aim to make financial profit

How to apply?

The National Agencies provide the official application forms. For a bilateral or trilateral exchange, the sending and host groups apply separately to their respective National Agencies. For a multilateral exchange, the host group ( coordinating group ) applies, on behalf of all the partners, to its National Agency.
